In-person visiting at Red Wing is open. All visits must be scheduled in advance by using the Online Scheduling Option or by calling 651-267-3653. A maximum of 4 visitors are allowed per person and they must be on the approved visitors list.
MCF-Red Wing has a 43-bed adult minimum security unit. The men at MCF-Red Wing are transitioning from prison back into the community through work and programming. They learn trades working with plumbers, carpenters, and electricians. They can become certified in boiler, skid loader and forklift operations. The facility also has community-based employment through the Institution Community Work Crews (ICWC). They learn lawn care, construction, building maintenance and recycling operations. The facility also has a garden where 75% of the produce is donated to the area food shelf - the rest is used at the facility.
Visiting is closed on all State Holidays.
