This position will be filled in either the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Medical Assistant, Certified (CMA) job classification. These positions will be filled in either the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Medical Assistant, Certified (CMA) job classification. The classification level (LPN or CMA) in which positions are filled will be determined based on the qualifications of the applicant who is selected for the position. These are day/evening rotating shift positions including weekend and holiday shifts as assigned. The LPN/CMA performs duties to assist practitioners and Registered Nurses in providing health care to incarcerated individuals. Responsibilities include: Perform functions related to "rooming" the incarcerated individual for practitioner examinations, including obtaining blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration, weight and documenting complaints. Perform phlebotomy functions with incarcerated individuals, including collecting blood and urine samples and performing other tests ordered by the practitioner. Conduct Blood Pressure Clinic and other chronic care clinics with incarcerated individuals. Administer medication as prescribed by the practitioner.
Minimum Qualifications To be qualified for and considered for this position, applicants must meet all of the minimum qualifications listed below.
