The Minnesota Department of Human Services provides services for more than one million Minnesotans in 87 counties and 11 tribes.
In Minnesota, about 6,200 people are known to be infected with HIV during 2012. DHS manages publicly-funded programs that help people living with HIV/AIDS access life-extending medication therapy and health care.
Program HH Services provide access to HIV medications, insurance benefits, dental services, mental health services and nutrition services for HIV-positive persons who meet program eligibility guidelines.
