Preventive care and disease management keeps people healthy and saves the state precious resources. DHS offers programs that provide care for the well-being of eligible Minnesotans.

  • HIV/AIDS

    The HIV/AIDS Unit manages programs that support people living with HIV/AIDS to access medication therapy and medical care.

  • Medical Assistance

    MA, Minnesota’s Medicaid program, provides health care coverage to people of all ages who have disabilities.

  • Medicare savings programs

    Medicare Savings Programs help eligible people pay the cost of their Medicare.

  • Mental health

    Attending to mental health is just as important as maintaining physical health. DHS works to ensure accessible mental health services and supports for adults and children.

  • Online payments

    Some people enrolled in Minnesota Health Care Programs have monthly payments for their coverage. Many of these payments can be made online through the Web Payments site.

  • Substance abuse

    The Alcohol and Drug Abuse Division administers prevention and treatment programs addressing alcohol and other drug dependency and abuse problems.
