The Capitol Area Architectural and Planning Board (CAAPB) is working closely with the Ramsey County Sheriff's office and Saint Paul Port Authority to implement the Vitality goals of public safety and livability within CAAPB with a focus specifically on public safety, youth and family programming, business grants, and street and neighborhood cleanup and ambassadors.

Movie in the Park
On October 24, 2025, the Ramsey County Sheriff's Office showed the film Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire in the gazebo park by the Capitol Building. They provided hot dogs, popcorn, s'mores, and hot chocolate to the community.
Rice Street Clean Up
On September 30, 2025, Ramsey County Sheriff's Office held a trash clean-up day on Rice Street from University Avenue West to West Pennsylvania Avenue.
Rice Street Cookout
On September 26, 2025, Ramsey County Sheriff's Office hosted a cookout near Rice Street and Sherburne Avenue in Saint Paul.
National Night Out 2025
On August 5, 2025, Ramsey County inspectors and deputies visited Capitol Area neighborhoods participating in National Night Out.
Frogtown Community Center
On July 29, 2025, Deputies Barton, Edwards and Correctional Officer Waged handed out Johnny Pops at the Frogtown Community Center. They provided free Johnny Pops to the community throughout the summer.
Capitol Area Community Vitality Kick-Off
On July 14, 2025, the Capitol Area Community Vitality Kick-Off was held near Cass Gilbert Memorial Park. The event was hosted by the office of Representative María Isa Pérez-Vega, Representative Samakab Hussein, the Capitol Area Architectural and Planning Board (CAAPB), Ramsey County, Ramsey County Sheriff's office, and the MN State Legislature in partnership with the City of Saint Paul.
