Minnesota Rules, Chapter 6700 governs the training and licensing of peace officers in the state. This chapter covers a wide range of topics, including, but not limited to, minimum selection standards, continuing education, license renewal, and peace officer standards of conduct. Administrative rules, such as the one contained in Chapter 6700, are promulgated pursuant to the Administrative Procedures Act by the agency who has jurisdiction over the subject matter. Adopted rules have the full force and effect of law.
