Course Submission
GENERAL INFORMATION
• Courses submitted for approval must be law enforcement related, based on the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to be a peace officer, and meet a law enforcement educational need.
• Turn-around time for course approval is typically 15-30 days. Keep this in mind when submitting course applications to allow staff adequate time for course content to be reviewed prior to the date of training.
• All previously POST approved courses/conferences that are expired or are expiring must be submitted to POST for evaluation as a new course/conference.
• Every course submission will be evaluated on its own merit, regardless of previous versions.
General Sponsors
• A general CE sponsor is a law enforcement agency, school, individual, or organization that has received authority from the board to provide board-approved courses for continuing education credit.
