The Minnesota Board of Peace Officer Standards and Training is seeking comments and suggestions for changes in rules regarding Chapter 6700. The POST Board anticipates giving special attention to rules related to the following topic areas; professional peace officer education; licensing examinations; school certification requirements; reciprocity; pre-service structure, curriculum, and training; and any other areas in the 6700 chapter in need of revision. Comments can be sent to the agency contact person below.

The Request for Comments announces the Board’s intent to appoint an Advisory Rules Committee to assist the Board in amending current rules. Applications can be found on the POST Board’s website and should also be sent to the contact person below.
The deadline for making rule comments or suggestions is 4:30 p.m. on Friday, February 2, 2024. The deadline for Advisory Committee applications is 4:30 pm on Wednesday, January 3, 2024.
