Lake Crystal is a rural farming community of approximately 2,500 people. We have an excellent K–12 school system, a modern community recreation center, and a small-town feel that’s welcoming and inviting for living and raising a family. The Lake Crystal Police Department is currently comprised of a Chief, Sergeant, and two patrol officers. Officers work a combination of 11.5- and 12-hour shifts and have every other weekend off. Lake Crystal offers a competitive benefits package, including paid leave, paid holidays, health and dental insurance, a $3,000 signing bonus, and potential retention bonuses. This is an LELS union position. Lateral officers are strongly encouraged to apply. Starting wages and benefits for lateral officers will be evaluated based on prior law enforcement experience during the application process.
