Recruitment Pay
The City will offer a recruitment incentive payment to all Police Sergeants hired by the City from June 20, 2025-December 31, 2027. Recruitment payment applies only to external hires.
For newly hired Police Sergeants:
The City will pay a one-time $10,000 recruitment incentive payment to work as a newly hired Police Sergeant for the Wayzata Police Department. $5,000 will be paid upon hire and $5,000 will be paid upon successful completion of their probationary period.
