In support of mental health, our officers work an average of 14 days per month. This is a result of an 11-hour shift schedule with 2 on 2 off, 5 on 5 off rotation, which creates a 5-day weekend every other week! We also offer pay incentives such as:
Educational Incentive Pay - 2% for a bachelor’s degree / 4% for a master’s degree
Officer in Charge Pay - $2.50/hour (when no Sgt on duty)
Shift Differential Pay - $1.75/hour (earned 6pm to 6am)
Longevity Pay - 2% / 3% (after 10 / 20 years of service respectively)
Post-Retirement Healthcare - Up to $1,000/month to an HSA after retirement!
