We contract with The Protection Institute to bring our officers the most up-to-date training in various principals, including firearms, active shooter, use of force, less lethal, high risk traffic stops, scenario-based training, and much more.
We offer an excellent benefit package an dour 2025 base salary is $30.78-$41.11 per hour or $64,055-$85,507 annually, plus 24-hour duty allowance and 12 paid holidays. the city currently covers the full expense for a single coverage healthcare plan and contributes up to $1500-$3000 toward each officer's HSA account. In addition, officers are paid a minimum of two hours for court callback time. Applicants must live within a 60-minute drive from the City of Breckenridge.
