Job Description: We are seeking two police officers to join our team who are committed to public service and exemplify honor, integrity, courage, and compassion in both their work and interactions with others.

Lino Lakes is a growing community of approximately 22,000 residents, located just 15 minutes north of the Twin Cities. Our city features a strong community-police relationship, with a diverse mix of residential, commercial, industrial, and retail areas, as well as abundant parks, lakes, and trails.

The team consists of dedicated officers who are driven to make a positive impact in the community.  Officers have opportunities to become a school resource officer, investigator, SWAT operator, SWAT negotiator, drone pilot, K9 handler, mobile field force member, and the potential for supervisory positions (based on performance and openings).  Officers’ workdays consist of a balance of responding to calls and engaging in proactive policing efforts. 

Lateral candidates with 1 to 3 years of experience will be paid $1,250 upon start of employment plus an additional $1,250 upon the completion of training. Lateral candidates with 3 or more years or experience will be paid $2,500 upon start and $2,500 upon completion of training.  An abbreviated training timeline and a higher starting pay scale may be considered for lateral transfers depending upon experience and qualifications.  All candidates will receive 20 hours of sick, and 20 hours of vacation time front loaded into their leave banks.
