Schedule:
• 12-hour shifts on a 4 days on / 4 days off rotation
• Works opposite rotation of the other Lieutenant
• Flexible “power shift” coverage, generally falling between:
1 PM – 1 AM, 2 PM – 2 AM, 3 PM – 3 AM, at the discretion of the officer
Benefits:
• 200 hours of sick leave available immediately after successful completion of Field Training
• 80 hours of vacation available immediately after successful completion of Field Training
• Position falls under the current L.E.L.S. Union Contract.
Qualifications:
• Must be a POST Licensed Eligible by the time of hire in the State of MN
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a licensed peace officer
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Candidates must successfully pass each of the following exam components: Oral Evaluation, Background, Psychological, Physical Examination and Drug Screening
