This is a temporary position for law enforcement students to gain experience during their education. Length of this position will be one to three years depending on candidate's education track and job performance. CSOI's will be available 24 hr/week - mainly evenings and weekends. CSO’s are often candidates for our future Police Officer positions!
Position open to candidates who have not applied in the past six months.
Qualified candidates should have an interest in a law enforcement career, be currently enrolled in or will be enrolled in an accredited law enforcement program by September 1st, 2025; have an Emergency Medical Responder certification or able to obtain within one year; the ability to communicate with the public in a respectful manner, under conditions of stress; the ability to communicate effectively in written and oral reports; the ability to work outdoors and in inclement weather; a valid driver's license and good driving record; the ability to work with animals, a high school diploma or the equivalent; and should be a minimum age of 18.
