As with all State of Minnesota Boards and Commissions, the application process for becoming a member of the Board of Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) is handled by the Office of the Minnesota Secretary of State. Board appointments, including officer positions, are made by the Governor’s office once application has been made with the Secretary of State’s office. Please note that appointment to the Board is solely the right of the Governor and POST staff and/or existing Board members are not a part of that process.
