The 2025 United States Steel Pan Continental Curling Championships (PCCC) wrapped up Sunday, Oct. 26, after eight days of international competition in Virginia and Eveleth, where Canada captured the men’s title and China won the women’s division. Both teams advanced to the World Curling Championships in March in Calgary, Alberta, along with Team USA’s men, who finished second, and women, who placed fourth. The event brought global attention to the Iron Range and generated significant economic and community benefits across the region.
The PCCC event was made possible through strong partnerships among Iron Range Resources & Rehabilitation (IRRR), World Curling, USA Curling, Curl Mesabi Foundation and other local partners, volunteers and residents. U.S. Steel provided a generous sponsorship of $100,000 to help ensure the event’s success, reflecting the mining industry’s deep historical and modern-day connection to the region.
