Huber Engineered Woods LLC (HEW) today announced that the company will not be locating its oriented strand board (OSB) manufacturing facility in Cohasset. In June 2021, the Iron Range Resources & Rehabilitation Board approved $15 million in funding for the construction of the new facility, which was projected to bring 150 new jobs to the region. In addition, the project was expected to contribute to the business growth of Minnesota’s logging and trucking industries. The Cohasset project involved constructing a new state-of-the-art facility located on more than 400 acres in southwest Itasca County.
