EVELETH - Community leaders from Crosby are invited to communicate priorities for the city at a Tuesday, Nov. 10, listening session with Iron Range Resources and Rehabilitation Board (IRRRB) Assistant Commissioner Joe Radinovich.

The listening session, from 7 a.m. to 8 a.m. at Heartwood Senior Living Community, 500 Heartwood Drive in Crosby, is aimed at gathering input from community leaders on business, community, and workforce development needs in the Crosby area.

IRRRB is a state of Minnesota economic development agency headquartered in Eveleth. Its mission is to promote and invest in business, community and workforce development for the betterment of northeastern Minnesota.

The agency is establishing a strategic plan designed to support business development, invest in vibrant communities, grow the workforce of tomorrow, and advance value-added mineral opportunities.

"As the IRRRB moves ahead with strategic planning and funding decisions for coming years, it's very important that we hear from community leaders," said Radinovich. "We're looking forward to meeting with community leaders at a number of listening sessions across our service area to learn about their development priorities."

Mayors, city councilors, economic and community development, education, chamber of commerce, and other community leaders, are invited to the sessions.

At the sessions, Radinovich will outline the IRRRB's strategic focus, address future agency investments, and discuss project leverage.

Over the next few months, listening sessions will be scheduled in communities across the IRRRB service area.

RSVPs for the listening sessions are requested. RSVP to sara.ferkul@state.mn.us or 218-735-3043.
