IRRRB listening session set for Jan. 15

FinneganCommunity leaders from the Babbitt, Ely, Soudan, and Tower areas are invited to a Friday, Jan. 15, listening session with Iron Range Resources and Rehabilitation Board Deputy Commissioner Mary Finnegan. The session will be held from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. at Fortune Bay Resort Casino.

The session is the fifth in a series aimed at gathering input from community leaders on business, community, and workforce development needs.

IRRRB is establishing a strategic plan designed to support business development, invest in vibrant communities, grow the workforce of tomorrow, and advance value-added mineral opportunities.

Mayors, city councilors, economic and community development, education, chamber of commerce, community leaders, and public, are invited to attend.

Previous listening sessions have been held in Crosby, the East Range, Hibbing, and Aitkin.

Over coming weeks, additional sessions will be scheduled in communities across the IRRRB service area.
