Task Forces, Work Groups, Special Initiatives

From time to time, Direct Care and Treatment convenes special task forces and work groups or undertakes special initiatives at the direction of the Governor's Office, the Legislature or the DCT Executive Board. These panels research, discuss and make recommendations matters of public policy related to the state's mental health system. Generally composed of DCT experts as well as experts from outside stakeholder and partner organizations that have a compelling interest in the issues to be examined, these task forces, work groups and panels issue formal reports and recommendations that the administration or Legislature may or may not adopt.    

Mentally Ill and Dangerous Task Force

This task force is evaluating current state law related to MI&D civil commitments.

Priority Admissions Review Panel

This panel reviews quarterly reports on admissions to DCT treatment facilities.

Past Task Force Reports and Recommendations

See reports and recommendations of past task forces and work groups.

DCT Advisory Committee

Made up of state lawmakers, county officials, advocates and other stakeholders, the committee advises the DCT Executive Board.
