As the attending psychiatrist, you will be working with children between the ages of 6 and 18 who are admitted from multiple referral sources, including hospitals and community settings, and providing treatment collaboratively with psychiatric and primary care practitioners, psychologists, nurses, social workers, rehab workers and other mental health professionals. The psychiatrist will provide clinical direction and leadership to an interdisciplinary team in a 16-bed hospital, overseeing assessment and treatment coordination by psychiatric and primary care APRNs, psychology, social work, and allied health team members. The s chedule of work will be determined with finalist and will be required to complete 880 hours. Under supervision of a Licensed Alcohol & drug Counselor this position provides entry-level specialized professional therapeutic programming to individuals in a substance use disorder treatment program. The individual in this position would learn to perform all aspects of program content, including assessment/evaluation, therapeutic facilitation of treatment groups, psycho-educational programming, monitoring, documentation, discharge planning and substance use professional standards. CARE provides residential treatment for adults with substance abuse disorders.
