Rulemaking: Commemorative Works on the Minnesota Capitol Grounds

The Capitol Area Architectural and Planning Board approved the Order to Adopt amendments to MN Rules Chapter 2400 on August 24, 2022. The amendments update the process and standards by which the CAAPB reviews public requests for the addition of new works on the Capitol grounds, and adds a process and standards for reviewing public requests to modify or remove existing works.

Commemorative Works Rulemaking

The CAAPB began evaluating its rules for commemorative works in June 2020. The key activities and information from the two-year rulemaking effort are featured below.
