Rulemaking: Commemorative Works on the Minnesota Capitol Grounds
UPDATE - On August 24, 2022, the Capitol Area Architectural and Planning Board approved proceeding with an Order to Adopt amendments to MN Rules Chapter 2400 governing commemorative works on the Capitol grounds. The amendments update the process and standards by which the CAAPB reviews public requests for the addition of new works on the Capitol grounds, and adds a process and standards for reviewing public requests to modify or remove existing works.
The amended rules will be adopted into law following the State required steps for submitting, posting and filing rule amendments. This process must be complete by November 17 -- 180 days after the public hearing on the rules.
