Job Description: The City of Hokah is currently accepting applications for a Part-Time Police Officer. Applicants must be P.O.S.T. licensed or eligible at time of hiring. Applicants must be able to pass a pre-employment medical exam, physical exam, psychological exam, background check, and be valid to drive in Minnesota. Applicants must demonstrate strong integrity, reliability and professionalism.
Key responsibilities include routine patrol, responding to calls for service, conducting traffic enforcement, writing reports, investigating incidents, and providing assistance to residents and visitors. This position includes various shifts based on the department's needs that include but are not limited to evenings and weekends.
The City of Hokah is located in South East Minnesota and has a population of approximately 600 people. The City offers gorgeous views of Como Falls and the Root River Valley. The City provides a supportive work environment and values officers who are committed to community engagement and public service.
