Job Description: The City of Deer River is seeking two part-time Police Officers that can fill, and work shifts as needed. This position will require working dayshifts and nightshifts when called upon. This Officer will be non-supervised once internally field trained and will patrol city limits, investigate crimes, enforce federal, state, local laws and ordinances. This Officer will provide public safety to the community along with assisting other agencies. This Officer will be responsible for minimal administrative duties with most of the time spent patrolling and actively pursuing community engagement. This Officer will be on a 6-month probation/fto period and with successful completion, elevated to full pay.
Required: Associate of Arts degree in law enforcement; valid Minnesota P.O.S.T. license; valid Minnesota driver license. Must meet all state-mandated certifications and medical requirements.
Desired: Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) certified
No living requirement or on call status.
