Job Description: The Chief of Police leads and manages the Grand Meadow Police Department in accordance with local, state and federal laws. Reporting to the City Administrator, the Chief ensures public safety through strategic planning, supervision, and professional law enforcement practices while collaborating with city leadership to maintain community trust. This roll oversees all department operations, including patrol, investigations, and community engagement. Responsibilities include developing policies aligned with city goals, supervising one Full-time and 2 part-time officers, and ensuring efficient service delivery. The Chief also serves as a liaison to the community, fostering relationships with residence, schools, and local organizations. A key focus Is working with school staff and students to promote a safe learning environment. The Chief represents the department at city meetings and public events, reinforcing transparency and partnership. Candidates should hold a bachelors degree and have at least 5 years of Law Enforcement experience. The ideal candidate Is a motivated professional who values community Involvement and proactive policing. Strong leadership, integrity, and a commitment to public service are essential.
