In addition to normal patrol duties, the Deputy Sheriff transports prisoners, serves legal documents, investigates crimes, and provides court security. Other opportunities available include ATV Patrol at one of Minnesota's largest ATV parks located in Appleton. Boat and Water and Snowmobile Patrol along with SWAT and Drone.
Minimum requirements: Must have a minimum of an A.A. Degree in Criminal Justice or Law Enforcement. Must have a current P.O.S.T. License, or eligible to be licensed by time of appointment. Must possess a valid driver’s license. Must successfully complete a background investigation, physical examination, and psychological examination.
