Starting range is $36.19 to $47.65 hourly (2025 contract wages). Additional salary and benefit considerations, as well as a streamlined training program, may be given based upon experience and work history to lateral officer applicants. Benefit highlights include: Cost of $177.20 per month for family health, dental, and vision care, $1500 per year paid into a health reimbursement account, participation in an Officer Wellness Program (includes 6 paid sessions for officer or family) and up to 8 calendar weeks of paid parental leave to eligible employees.
Officers work 12 hour shifts and are assigned their own squads. Officer are also eligible to take their squads home if they meet eligibility requirements.
Interested persons must complete a city application and a Police Officer Supplemental Application Form. Candidates must be MN POST licensed at the time of appointment.
Interviews will be held on May 7th at the Cambridge Police Department.
