"> Job Description: Applicants must possess a high school diploma or equivalent and a two-year degree in law enforcement or related field, plus an eight-week skills course. Upon being hired, the officer must either be eligible to be licensed, or be a fully licensed Peace Officer in order to comply with the P.O.S.T. standards in Minnesota. In addition, the applicant must have completed the following training: qualified in the use of firearms, First Responder course, possess a current CPR card and a valid Minnesota class “D” driver’s license. The starting annual salary range is $58,115 - $62,837 with the maximum range at $82,680; additional compensation of up to $7,500/year includes shift differential, standby, call back pay and uniform allowance. All officers are assigned a personal squad car and work is performed on a rotating shift basis.
