Job Description: The City of Pine River is seeking candidates for a Full Time Police Officer.  Pine River is located in Cass County 30 miles north of Brainerd. The police department is a small agency employing a full-time Chief of Police, (2) full-time officers and (1) part-time officer.  We are seeking a candidate who will engage with the community, build relationships with the residents through positive interaction, and be proactive in patrolling and enforcement of traffic laws and city ordinances. We have a great relationship with surrounding agencies and have opportunities for professional development and advanced training.  Minimum qualifications: Certification in emergency driving, taser, use of force, firearms basic first aid and CPR.  A comprehensive understanding of Minnesota criminal statutes and traffic laws, criminal procedures and rules of evidence.  Applicants must be licensed or eligible to be licensed by the MN POST Board, possess a valid MN drivers license with a good driving record, pass a background check, physical and psychological exams.
