Together, the North St. Paul City Staff, Community Members, Local Businesses and World’s Largest Snowman make a dynamic team! North St. Paul is a distinct city located in Ramsey County with a population of approximately 13,000 and total area of 3 square miles.

Opportunities for job assignments include, but limited to: Patrol Officer, Investigations, School Resource Officer, Field Training Officer, Drone Operator, Community Outreach, Public Information Officer, On-Going Desired Training, and more. In addition, Officers can work out while on-duty in our on-site Cross-Fit Gym and Fitness Center, along with access to an incredible wellness program!

Minimum requirements

MN POST Board license or eligible to be licensed at time of application; possess a two-year degree in Law Enforcement, Criminal Justice, or related field, and have a valid MN Class D driver's license.

Starting salary for lateral transfers will be based upon officer qualifications, training, and years of service as a licensed peace officer. Field Training Program for laterals may be adjusted.

The salary range for 2024 is $37.03 - $46.20 per hour, plus overtime opportunities.
