The Minnesota Department of Corrections (DOC) today said Level 3 predatory offender Archie Randle, who was wanted for violations of his intensive supervised release, is back in custody.
Hennepin County Sheriff’s Deputies took Randle into custody without incident on Thursday night in Minneapolis after they spotted him near the Hennepin County Medical Center. He’s currently in the Hennepin County Adult Detention Center and will be transported back to DOC custody later today.
“We are grateful to the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) for their work in this case,” said Department of Corrections spokesperson Aaron Swanum. “The HCSO Deputies quickly identified and apprehended Randle, only a few hours after we put out a statewide request for help locating him.”
Randle was released from Minnesota DOC custody on June 27, 2023 to Intensive Supervised Release. He cut his GPS monitoring bracelet on August 25, 2023 and absconded from his registered address in Minneapolis. Randle has convictions for First-degree Criminal Sexual Conduct, Fourth-Degree Criminal Sexual Conduct, Soliciting a Child to Engage in Sex, Aggravated Robbery, Burglary, and Escape from Custody.
