The Justice Reinvestment Initiative (JRI) is partnership between the State of Minnesota and The Council of State Governments (CSG) Justice Center to provide technical assistance and recommendations on how Minnesota’s system of correctional supervision can be more evidence based and funded effectively and efficiently.
The CSG Justice Center, funded by the U.S. Department of Justice’s Bureau of Justice Assistance and the Pew Charitable Trusts, is supporting Minnesota’s efforts to identify a balanced and sustainable model for funding an effective correctional supervision infrastructure. JRI has been engaging a broad range of stakeholders and identifying areas of priority and common interest across state agencies, the judiciary, our counties, and local municipalities.
