To the OMHDD Community – Following Gov. Walz’ “Stay at Home” Order
The Office of Ombudsman for Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities (OMHDD) continues providing services to Minnesotans across the state.
We are bringing you the most up-to-date information we have available about our operations and resources. We know there are questions and we are doing our best to ensure timely, transparent communication with all of our clients, their families, service providers, and our county, state, and community partners.
For COVID-19 information, please visit the Minnesota Department of Health.
We are committed to providing a safe environment for both the people we serve and our employees. Following the “Stay at Home” order from Governor Walz and guidance from the Minnesota Department of Health, we are taking aggressive steps to prevent the spread of COVID-19, including honoring the “Stay at Home” order as we are able while continuing our critical services essential to the health, safety, and well-being of our clients.
We have transitioned to our staff working remotely. Our staff have the tools and technology to provide service by telephone or email. As in our typical operating environment under normal circumstances, a response can be expected within 1 to 2 business days. We continue to be available by phone at 651-757-1800 or by email at ombudsman.mhdd@state.mn.us.
We will continue to keep you updated during this challenging time. You can find the latest news at the OMHDD website.
Thank you for your patience as we work together to ensure the seamless delivery of OMHDD’s important services protecting the health, safety, well-being and rights of our clients.
Sincerely,
Roberta Opheim, Ombudsman
