About OMHDD

Contact the Office of Ombudsman for Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities (OMHDD) if you need assistance.

The OMHDD is an independent state agency responsible for:

"Promoting the highest attainable standards of treatment, competence, efficiency, and justice for persons receiving services for mental illness, developmental disabilities, chemical dependency, or emotional disturbance."

See how the OMHDD can assist you and take action in the File a Complaint section. If you make a complaint in good faith, Minnesota State law protects you from retaliation.

  • Death and Serious Injury Reporting 
  • Civil Commitment Training and Assistance
