Minnesota Department of Corrections Education
Secondary Education
At the Minnesota Department of Corrections (DOC), we offer a range of Adult Basic Education (ABE) programs designed to support incarcerated individuals in their academic and personal development. These programs provide essential foundational education, including GED preparation and high school diploma courses, tailored to meet the diverse needs of our participants. Our goal is to enhance educational achievement, improve job prospects, and foster confidence for the next step in the educational journey. By engaging in secondary education, individuals gain critical skills and knowledge that contribute to personal growth and reduce the likelihood of recidivism.
