Anne Pereira M.D.

Dr. Anne Pereira has dedicated her career to patient care, teaching and medical education leadership. She completed medical training at the University of Minnesota Medical School and internal medicine training at Hennepin County Medical Center (now Hennepin Healthcare). She then completed an academic medicine fellowship and her master’s in public health at Harvard University before returning to lead the internal medicine residency training program and to practice at Hennepin Healthcare. After 10 years in that leadership role, she transitioned to leadership in undergraduate medical education, holding the role of Assistant Dean for Curriculum at the University of Minnesota Medical School from 2014 until 2020. She then chose to focus the final phase of her career on patient care in palliative medicine and on leadership coaching. She completed Hospice and Palliative Medicine Fellowship training in 2021 and the Georgetown University Executive Certificate in Leadership Coaching in 2024. She now practices hospice and palliative care at Hennepin Healthcare and coaches new and emerging healthcare leaders. When she can, she enjoys sailing, skiing and hiking, and spending time with her adult children.
