Dr. Chaitanya Anand started his professional career as an International Medical Graduate when he joined the State University of New York at Buffalo for his Internal Medicine Residency. After his Residency and Board Certification, he moved to Minnesota for his first job in an Oncology Clinic. He has been in Full-Time practice of medicine in Minnesota since. Dr. Anand has worked in most areas of General Medicine from Outpatient Primary Care, Urgent Care, Occupational Medicine, Inpatient Hospitalist, Nursing Home, Long Term Acute Care Hospital, Extended Care and Rehabilitation Center as well as an Emergency Room Physician. Additionally, he has experience working in different health care systems from Federal Health Care at the VA, Mayo Health System, Health East and Fairview system, Independent Private Medical Practice, Locum Tenens work at different hospitals in the state. He has completed an executive mini-MBA through the MEDA scholarship and founded an Independent medical practice. Dr. Anand brings in a wide range of personal and professional experience to the Board of Medical Practice and is looking forward to adding value to the team and further the mission of the Medical Board of protecting the public.
Dr. Anand is pursuing an interest in Lifestyle Medicine while he enjoys downhill skiing and biking when he can.
