The Professional Educator Licensing and Standards Board approves a score of least Level 3+ on the American Sign Language Proficiency Interview (ASLPI) as a measure of demonstrating a minimum level of proficiency in American Sign Language for the purposes of the Deaf or Hard of Hearing (D/HH) license.
