2015: Mark Dayton Begins His Second Term as Governor

Mark Dayton began his second term as Governor in January 2015. It was something Minnesota hadn't seen in 32 years – the second-term inauguration of a DFL governor.

Republicans had taken control of the House after the November 2014 elections, while Democrats continued to control the Senate.
