2014: The Arc Minnesota Awards

Karen Loven, self advocate, serves as a faculty member for Continuing Legal Education (CLE) courses.

On November 15, 2014, Karen was awarded the Bill Sackter Citizenship Award by The Arc Minnesota.

In co-presentations with U.S. District Court Judge Donovan Frank, Karen quickly does away with stereotypes that continue to surround individuals with developmental disabilities – changing perceptions, thinking, and attitudes. Together Judge Frank and Karen Loven have made presentations to over 1,000 attorneys and judges.
