Deaf, DeafBlind and Hard of Hearing State Services Mental Health Program

Our statewide mental health response team helps deaf, deafblind, and hard of hearing adults aged 18 and above receive accessible mental health services in their communities. Staff are qualified and licensed psychologists, clinical social workers or professional clinical counselors. All staff are fluent in American Sign Language and experienced in providing the following mental health services to adults with hearing loss: 

  • Assessment and stabilization 
  • Crisis intervention 
  • Counseling services and treatment 
  • Community placement assistance 
  • Care coordination 
  • Individual and family consultation 
  • Aftercare planning

Setting and population served

We serve adults 18 and older. Services can be provided over video or in-person.
