The Minnesota Public Utilities Commission is committed to making our programs, services, activities, and website accessible to all individuals.

Request an Accommodation 

Anyone who requires an aid or service to help you use our programs, services, and activities can request a specific accommodation. Please submit your request to the PUC ADA Coordinator at least one week prior to the date when you need the accommodation.

The Minnesota Public Utilities Commission will not place a surcharge to cover the cost of providing modifications or auxiliary aids that help an individual use our programs, services, or activities. 

File a Discrimination Complaint (Grievance Process) 

If you believe a program, service, or activity of the Public Utilities Commission is not accessible in accordance with the laws of title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, you are entitled to file a complaint. 

The complaint should be submitted as soon as possible, but no later than 60 calendar days after the alleged violation.

Within 15 calendar days after the receipt of the complaint, the PUC ADA Coordinator or a designee will meet with the complainant to discuss the complaint and the possible resolution. Within 15 calendar days of the meeting, the PUC ADA Coordinator or a designee will respond in writing, and where appropriate, in a format accessible to the complainant. 

All written complaints received by the PUC ADA Coordinator or a designee will be retained by the Minnesota Public Utilities Commission for at least three years.
