Staff Automated Reporting (STAR)
Minnesota Statutes 2024, section 122A.40, subdivision 3(b) states that a school district must annually report to the Professional Educator Licensing and Standards Board (PELSB) all new teacher hires and terminations, including layoffs... and the reasons for all teacher resignations and requested leaves of absence. Districts accomplish this through their Staff Automated Report (STAR) submission. Districts use their EDIAM account to access STAR web edit system to submit their information.
