PELSB Resolution 2020.04

License applicants seeking a middle-level endorsement, who completed 3 weeks or fewer of student teaching in the spring of 2020 as part of a state-approved teacher preparation program outside the state of Minnesota will be found to have met the Tier 3 and Tier 4 requirements that applicants complete student teaching “equivalent” to the student teaching in a Minnesota-approved teacher preparation program when: (1) The applicant completes a supplemental form describing the applicant’s student teaching experience and (2) the applicant completed replacement or alternative experiences.

License applicants that completed 4 weeks or more of student teaching online or through distance learning or some combination of in-person, online, or distance will be found to have met the Tier 3 and Tier 4 requirement that applicants complete student teaching “equivalent” to student teaching in a Minnesota-approved teacher preparation program.
