Report Provides Several Findings on Minnesota Teacher Landscape

The Minnesota Professional Educator Licensing and Standards published the /pelsb/assets/2019%20Supply%20and%20Demand%20Report_tcm1113-370206.pdf2019 Biennial Minnesota Teacher Supply and Demand Report on January 30.
The report had several findings, including: slightly more than half of all Minnesota teachers who hold a license are not working in a public school classroom; the percentage of Minnesota teaching assignments filled by individuals on special permissions was 3.8 percent; and districts continue to report difficulty in filling teaching positions.
The Teacher Supply and Demand Report also provides a broad overview and data on the number of teachers throughout Minnesota.
