Teachers Needed for MTLE Standard Setting and Linkage Activity Conference

The Minnesota Professional Educator Licensing and Standards Board (PELSB) and the Evaluation Systems group of Pearson are currently seeking educators to participate in the August 2019 Minnesota Teacher Licensure Examinations (MTLE) Standard Setting and Linkage Activity Conference, which will be held in Minneapolis.
Each committee will meet for one day as indicated below:
- Early Childhood Education

- Linkage Activity - Wednesday, August 14, 2019
- Instrumental Classroom Music
- Standard Setting Panel and Linkage Activity - Tuesday, August 13, 2019
- Mathematics
- Standard Setting Panel - Tuesday, August 13, 2019
- Linkage Activity - Wednesday, August 14, 2019
- Reading Teacher
- Linkage Activity - Tuesday, August 13, 2019
- Standard Setting Panel - Wednesday, August 14, 2019
- Communication Arts/Literature
- Standard Setting Panel - Wednesday, August 14, 2019
Individuals interested in participating in these panels can complete an application online.
Test Development Activities: Below are brief descriptions of the types of test development activities that approved committee members may be asked to take part in during this conference.
- Standard Setting: The role of the MTLE Standard Setting panel is to examine each item included on a test form and provide passing score judgments that will be considered by PELSB in determining the passing standard for the test.
- Linkage Activity: During the Linkage Activity, the committee will review and document the relationship between the knowledge, skills, and abilities represented by the test objectives and the tasks performed by teachers in Minnesota.
