65-1800-36489 In the Matter of the Appeal by Lynette Waldow of the Order of License Revocation of her Adult Foster Care License

June 3, 2020 - The Administrative Law Judge concludes that Appellant violated laws and regulations governing her adult foster care license, including failing to notify the County of a change in her household membership, failing to arrange for substitute care, failing to train an assisting caregiver on the drug and alcohol policy, and failing to obtain a background study on her adult son who was residing in her home. The Judge finds, however, that revocation of Appellant’s adult foster care license exceeds the licensing sanction reasonably necessary in this case and would have a negative impact on the sole vulnerable adult served by the program. As a result, it is respectfully recommended that the Order for Revocation be RESCINDED and that the Commissioner place Appellant’s license on conditional status.
