Resiliency, Adaptability, and Well-Being Within Yourself

You can’t pour from an empty cup.

Whenever we see our friends, family, or coworkers struggling, it’s easy to assess our empathy and tell them to take a break. It’s great advice to step away, get some perspective, or ask for help. Despite all that we know about rest, it is hard to take our own advice sometimes. We’re all human. We all struggle. We all deserve the care that we show others.

Resiliency

There are no awards for struggling more than someone else. Resiliency is not built through burnout. Your impact is more powerful when you can recharge and receive help from others.

Adaptability

It takes a lot of energy to dig your heels in to keep your grip on an idea. You can still get what you want when you’re open to new perspectives or methods. Willingness and adaptability can help you achieve your big-picture goals more efficiently (and even faster!).

Well-Being

Well-being is a combination of mental, professional, emotional, physical, relational, financial, and spiritual health.  They are all equally important, and they affect each other. There are programs and other resources that can support you and promote your overall well-being.
