Customized Courses

Any ETD course can be customized to meet your needs and delivered to your workplace. ETD has certified consultants on staff along with master contracts with a multitude of vendors and higher education partners to bring in the experts you need.

Zenger Folkman 360 Leadership Assessment

This one-on-one session with a Zenger Folkman certified consultant provides participants with a confidential 360 assessment feedback report to measure individual strengths and evaluate areas for further development. During the session, a coach will provide an overview of the Extraordinary Leader™ and the strengths-based approach to leadership development. Participants learn Zenger Folkman’s unique cross-training approach to build strengths and create a customized leadership development plan to increase leadership effectiveness.

Our staff has an expertise in a variety of topics spanning leadership development, team building, talent and performance management, effective presentations, coaching and feedback, workforce planning, succession planning, knowledge transfer and much more. ETD has experts on staff and on contract to offer a variety of inventories, instruments and assessments that help individuals and teams leverage personal attributes for increased performance.  The various tools identify personality types, leadership styles, communication styles, decision-making styles, individual and team strengths, emotional intelligence, as well as other attributes.

Coaching for Leaders & Individual Contributors

Performance Coaching: Maximize your potential to improve current performance and capability. Certified ETD staff members use the FUEL model, a structured framework to giving effective feedback, for coaching employees in performance development. Individualized sessions are available to all employees in state government based on self-selection or referral from a supervisor or manager.

Leadership Coaching: Leaders of all levels – aspiring, emerging, senior and executive – have the capacity to increase effectiveness. Leadership coaching provides state leaders with a chance to have a confidential conversation and receive honest feedback. Zenger Folkman certified consultants use the FUEL coaching model to help leaders expand awareness, discover superior solutions, and make and implement better decisions.

Presentations Coaching

Increase the impact and effectiveness of individual or staff presentations with the help of ETD. Whether it’s a one-time event or a message presented on a regular basis, ETD staff can help you design slide content and layout so your presentation is not only more effective, but also easier to deliver.

Training Needs Assessment

Get the most out of your agency training budget by conducting a training needs assessment. ETD has helped several agencies identify skills that support organizational priorities and enhance workplace performance. Needs assessments can be developed for teams, departments, divisions, units, or an entire agency.

Workforce Planning, Succession Planning & Knowledge Transfer

As the state’s workforce changes, agencies must review their strategic objectives and align them with their human resource strategy. Assistance in creating a workforce plan, which includes best practices in succession planning and knowledge transfer, is available to you free of charge.
